What I Do

My name is Madelaine and I’m a Corporate Bailout. 4 times over. I’m just really not into a traditional work schedule. And I’m not the only 30-something who looks at the 9-5 schedule, and all the expectations that go along with it, with a skeptical brow.

We are taught from an early age that following the path set out by generations before us is the right thing to do.

School. Job. Better Job. Car. House. Marriage. Job Upgrade. Baby.

Car Upgrade. House Upgrade. And ALL THE THINGS.

As early as grade school we are taught that a Monday through Friday schedule is the norm. We are literally trained to accept a 9-5, professional career, as the norm. John Taylor Gatto, a public school teacher in New York and author of multiple books critiquing the standardized education system says “…in our secular society, school has become the replacement for church, and like church it requires that its teachings must be taken on faith.

Go to school. Get a job. Do it Monday to Friday. Every week.

This is what successful people do.

My name is Madelaine and I’m a Small Business Lifestyle Consultant who focuses on Systems and Automations. I believe success can and should be defined by an individual and not society. I work with business owners to design businesses that support alternative lifestyles. My clients understand that success is unique to every individual and embrace a certain level of risk and adventure. Because life would sure be boring if we were all the same.

Why I Do It

When you have a big idea it’s easy to get wrapped up in it! With guidance and smart visioning and planning from the start, you can avoid building a business that doesn’t work for you and your lifestyle! I love showing people what’s possible. Showing them that it’s possible to operate in a way that is completely the antithesis of what society is telling all of us to do, is invigorating!
I’ve totally been there. My two online businesses were both money makers, but neither was feeding the vision I have for my own lifestyle (flexibility, 2-3 day work week, travel and the ability to work remotely is the name of my game!)
Plans, systems and automations are my jam. Its through specific planning processes and tools that my clients are able to scale in a sustainable and mindful way.
Creating an alternative lifestyle [whatever that looks like to you!] is achievable through building a business that is scaled to a mindful and manageable size – so that you can still enjoy the things you love!
The mindset work that comes along with breaking out of the mold, and diverging from the expectations we all feel, can be challenging. Doing it with someone who’s been there is the best way to do it right the first time!

Who I Work With

I work with two types of clients:

Client A is currently stuck in corporate, can’t imagine still being there in 40 years, and knows they want out!
Client B has an existing business (online or otherwise) but it’s not exactly supporting the lifestyle they had in mind when they started. In fact, they probably still feel as though they are over with Client A in corporate.
Both of these people are highly skilled individuals who want more out of life and can’t quite figure out how to make it happen. Right now they are climbing a ladder they don’t want to be on, and it’s time to get their time back. Life’s just too short.
I work with my clients to:

Assess Business Skills
and Lifestyle Vision

Create and Monitor
Work Plans

Advise on Branding
and Client Acquisition

Discuss Money
and Mindset

Create Consulting
and Service Offers

Implement Automations
and Systems
